Romain Guillaume wins Long Distance Triathlon Guadeloupe; Sofie Goos 5th in IM70.3 Buenos Aires

Romain Guillaume took the first victory of the season for the BMC-Etixx Pro Triathlon Team powered by Uplace. In the half distance triathlon of Guadeloupe the Frenchman dominated from start to finish. With a time of 4:07:00 he set a new course record. Andrej Vistica (CRO) finished second as Francky Favre (FRA) completed the podium.

Great start of the season for Bart Aernouts and BMC-Etixx Pro Triathlon Team powered by Uplace. Bart Aernouts (3:43:58) finished 3rd in the Ironman 70.3 of Dubai after an amazing sprint with Terenzo Bozzone (NZL). Jan Frodeno took the victory (GER, 3:34:48) over Josh Amberger (AUS, 3:41:42).

Bart Aernouts wins Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship Bahrain

Uplace-BMC athlete Bart Aernouts (03:11:15) took the victory in the Ironman 70.3 Middle East Championship in Bahrain after an amazing performance on the bike. Due to heavy winds and currents the swim leg was cancelled. Bart dominated on the bike and held off Swiss athlete Ruedi Wild (03:12:26) to claim the victory in Bahrain. James Cunnama (ZAF; 03:13:54) completed the podium.

Corinne Abraham 3rd in Ironman 70.3 Austin

Corinne Abraham, member of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team, finished 3rd in IM 70.3 Austin. Due to injury and a bacterial infection, Corinne couldn’t race for 6 months, whereby she had to miss out on this year IM World Championships. With only a short period of of full training in the bag, Corinne is clearly on the way up again after a difficult couple of months.

Romain Guillaume 2nd in Club La Santa Ironman 70.3 Lanzarote

The beautiful Canary Island of Lanzarote was the scenery for today’s Club La Santa Ironman 70.3. It became a tight battle for the podium, with the top 3 all within 2 minutes. The race was won by Eneko Llanos (ESP: 04:06:26), followed by Romain Guillaume of the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team, 16" further (FRA: 04:06:42) and Antony Costes finishing 3rd, 1'16"back (FRA: 04:07:44). This brings the season total for the Uplace-BMC Pro Triathlon Team to 12 wins and 29 podium finishes.
